Dear Shotokan Karate Member:

I hope you and your family are in good health. As you may have heard, we are planning to celebrate SKA’s 70^thAnniversary via a practice and lunch at our Shotokan Ohshima Dojo on Sunday, August 23^rd. Prior to our celebration, there will be a Yodan Exam on Friday, August 21^st in Los Angeles and the Nisei Week Demonstration and Tournament at the Terasaki Budokan in Little Tokyo on Saturday, August 22^nd.

The practice at Shotokan Ohshima Dojo will start at 12 noon, followed by lunch. We will also be celebrating Ohshima Sensei’s 96^th birthday! You are welcome to attend with family members and friends. We suggest that you bring umbrellas, blankets, and chairs, so as to enjoy the afternoon.

We hope to see many of you, your family and friends at the Shotokan Ohshima Dojo for this event.
